Sunday was the Chinese Valentine's Day...
I guess yesterday was the anniversary of me and Ryan's for being together for six month since last Valentine's Day, the western Valentines Day...
And because the special title of Chinese Valentines Day, being a Chinese, I felt like I got to do something special about that somehow...
So, I made a little fuss about it...(not too much I hope!!) I bought a nice pair of sandals for him and wrote that little something in a card that pops out and says: "Wo Ai Ni" in Chinese when you open it...Not much, I think I just wrote everything that's happened honestly between us, nothing fancy...
And, there it came the most exciting part of it, at least to me...The gifts exchanging time...Mm...
Guess what I got??
Out of surprise, I got two pairs of very nice-looking jeans with big side pockets that are great for traveling, which is what we are going to do in about 4 months...they were really nice, i liked them and he's been really considerate and sweet...;)
However, what's even more exciting is that, after giving me these two pants, he said:
"hey, it's not over yet, I got something else for ya, of course...you know me...just can't help it...."
"Here, there ya go!"
Holding it in my hand, it was a leopard sexy t-string underwear...
"Wow... no way..."
And as I was trying to try it on....Somehow it's just a bit too big for me...I felt something not so right so I took a better look at it...guess what, the tag says: "Mr. Wacoal"
And i was so sorry to him, i couldn't stop laughing and laughing for the next 15 minutes.....
"Wah hahaha.....haha.....thanks Mr. Ryan...you've just bought me a men's T-string, very very sexy one too....wa...ahaha...ha ha..."
"What??? a what????? No................."
Anyways, I couldn't just let that great change just slip away like that, I gotta talk him in and put that sexy one on him....he he he...
He even told me when we were having our "Kimamaya," a super wonderful Japanese BBQ resturest downtown, that....
"Believe it or not, I really feel sexy right now!!"
"Yeah...." as I was thinking...believe it or not my boyfriend bought me a very sexy and proper...men's t-string!!!

Sometimes things just won't go right......when you hope to turn left, life just keeps leading you to the right!!
Nothing went smooth today, i mean yesterday, from the beginning to the end, from up to down and from left to right....Nothing seemed ok....
Sitting here I am thinking I could go on and on complaining about this crewedup day...or I could just forget about it. I guess I could...
Nope! Really, nothing felt right today...Is it because it's the second day of the ghost month, or is it just me???
Nothing was fine today....except that the creamy fragrance of my lilies came to greet me as I walked into the apartment, finishing all my unwanted stupid classes tonight.
It was almost ten pm...and the bright lilies greeted me (not even a person at home), and that made my rest of the day.

I've lived in Taipei for four years during my university years...and no doubt for a girl who's spoiled by the ocean and mountain (where i'm from), Taipei can really kill a person...I simply can't stay more than a week in Taipei, the trafic and air and the heat will definitely destroy me.
However, Taipei really changed a lot from my lst visit of it. It was about three years old, almost four now. Using MRT is pretty much fun and easy for visitors, not only it avoids the crazy massive trafic on the roads, it also keep us from the burning heat...where all the buildings release the hot air from the giant airconditioner...And really, Taipei has become a bit more international city now...as we can just grab any free touring guide/magazine to find strange, i mean foreign food....anyways, taipei could really kill you if you are not ready for it, yet a short term staying could be really fun too! Or at least, I was enjoying it ;)
One little funny line from my student today...
"Teacher, what do mean by 'older sister'?" .... "Do you mean a 'Lao mei-mei' ?(Chinese, which means the old younger sister)"...."Um........"
i couldn't say anything back in a second but busrt out laughing, and at the same time thinking..yeah...why not...cuz there really isn't any difference to tell what sister a person has wether older or younger in English, whereas in Chinese there's "Jieh-jie" for older sister and "Mei-mei" for younger sister...
Must be confused by now...hahhaha........

What else belongs to my taipei trip part ii?
Let me just put it this way, that trip was a total bliss
when it comes to eating. i probably had the greatest food all my life the two and half days i spent in taipei city.
Can't remember now what exactly the food's name, italiano...that's for sure...and just the coolest hamburger, yup, a real chicken hamburger with some fries is heaven to me...Sometimes it's just sick that you can just special rice this and special rice that...it's still RICE! One night, I ordered what i have always dreamt about to have an american style Breakfast for dinner....and I remembered being a bit sick and too full after all those great meals...that all-day breakfast place was awesome!
Taipei was cool, taking MRT was fun too...I even felt a little proud being a Taiwanese after Ryan dragged me to the CKS memorial...ha ha...;)

I'm feeling sick...got running nose and sore throat...
Got back from the three day trip from Taipei last night, am still wondering how funky and yet lucky this trip has been to me and Ryan.
Friday morning 10 am.
I was running out of time trying to dry my hair and put all the packing onto the van (the thing) as what Ryan had told to finish the job before 10:30. Therefore we could just jump into the van and start our little adventure to Tainan.
Heading to Tainan, which is southern Taiwan, we expected to be there after at least 6 hours of driving across the central mountain... Everything seemed so right when we started to enjoy the journey about an hour after...But.....there's alays a BUT...Hmm.....
The van started to smell funky....and my seat felt very very hot...we tried to ignore the smell and the strage heat in the van...Then, the add sound from the engine started to come out each time Ryan tried to speed up.
Anyways, the trip going to north had to end one way or another...we headed back to the train station, trying to save the rest of time of our little vacation.
Going south seemed to be impossible and unlucky....(did I mention that we also got stopped by police?), so why not going North.
So we decided to visit Taipei. And strangely once we decided to turn north things started to get lucky...We had no trouble buying tickets catching the train at the time when we arrive...with SEATs. If you've come to hualien before, you'd know how lucky it is to get train ticket with seat. Most of people will be standing three hours to get to Taipei.....
To be continued...
(Well...someone's waiting for me to get off the computer now, and i'm pretty sick now...will write more soon..)
