I forgot that for the last 6 months all we did was sitting around, sipping coffee and watching people coming and going...i also realized how much i miss that feeling and just to have something to do on a sunday afternoon...

I take my camera around all the time, and I take pictures when I find something interesting around the town. This guy: Keh Szi Hai, an independent "politican" (any one who watches news in Taiwan knows why there are quotation marks here) decided to run for the County Leadership. I don't know if he's going to be the next leader for Hualien, or whether he's all that promising...
But his efforts, (mainly standing and waving on some busy street corners day and night, sun or rain... even typhoon days) has made more difference than the usual arrogant KMT candidates here in town...
This was what I heard while I was taking pictures of him:
"So, why do you want to be in the Hualien election?" a young student on a scooter asked.
"Ah.... Simple, Taiwan's government doesn't care about Hualien!!" Keh answered quickly.
No kidding!
