Another Taitung trip. This time, a business run.
We spent our weekend driving down to Taitung, while the weather in Hualien is wet, shitty and gloomy, going South seemed to be a perfect idea.
Each time I went there, my impression of the town seem to change a little bit. (yeah, but it's still a pretty boring town) Although on Saturday night, there remained few people on the streets, there seemed to be full of clothing shops one after another...I wondered how they could survive!
After having some okay dinner at the "Young's", which we have been told by some young locals that was the only "western" restaurant; we headed to the one and only but very COOL pub called: Who's. Not a single person there when we got in, a huge lounge and dancing space but just Ryan and I sitting at one corner. As time went, people started to get in...
"Wow..."
"What?"
"Do you think he/she is a guy or a girl?!"
"Guy!!!! Of course, my feminine sense can never go wrong."
"Buy,...He/she just went to the girl's bathroom with a male friend (who also acted like a girl)
"I don't know...But, I can tell you girls don't walk that way..."
"Yeah, I know he/she walks with his belly pointing at everyone, nope..He's more like ... floating!"
"Mm...Taitung's definitely changed!"
Later on, there came the 199 shopping music and all the guys went dancing crazy rubbing against each other. And once in a while, you see everybody cheering and clapping for the "hot" guy is dancing sexily with the pole!
Interesting, maybe Taitung has never changed that much, instead, we are just getting old. O, Taitung.
I don't think I will see you again anytime soon!
